My Story / My Passion / Music for everyone
Hi, I'm Joe
Music has always been
a part of my life.
I grew up in a Christian-centered family where serving others and being involved in church were an important part of life. Music was always around me, and over time, it became more than a hobby—it became a calling.My musical journey began at the age of five when I discovered a passion for drums. I started learning the basics and quickly became fascinated with how music could be expressed through rhythm. By the age of seven, I began learning bass, spending as much time as I could developing my skills whenever I had the opportunity to play at church. At age ten, I picked up the acoustic guitar and continued expanding my musical abilities.Throughout my teenage years, I focused on developing my skills across drums, bass, and guitar while actively serving at my local church. Later, when my parents were called to pastor a church, there was a need for a pianist who could help lead the music. At 18, I taught myself to play piano to meet that need—and I have been playing ever since.Today, I have more than 15 years of experience playing piano and more than 28 years of experience playing drums, bass, and guitar. I have had the privilege of serving as a Worship Pastor, Music Director, and volunteer musician, using music to encourage others, lead worship, and make a meaningful difference.My heart is simple: to help others discover the joy of music, build real musical skills, and grow in confidence as musicians. Through Joe Salinas Music, my goal is to make learning music practical, approachable, and enjoyable for everyone.
